Meet the Midwife
Stephanie has been a practicing midwife since 2017, with the brief exception of the last year of a sabbatical! She joyfully practices out of Colorado Springs, Colorado and is honored to be a part of each everyday miracle that the practice witnesses.
In addition to her homebirth practice, Stephanie works in midwifery education as adjunct clinical faculty at Midwives College of Utah and serves on the board of Midwives on Missions of Service, a nonprofit organization that trains local healthcare workers in Sierra Leone using an empowering, anti-colonial framework to support local Sierra Leoneans to improve maternal and child healthcare in their local communities.
She obtained her Certified Professional Midwife Credential and Colorado Registration as a Registered Midwife in 2017, when she opened her homebirth practice. In 2022, she served as a staff midwife at Maternidad La Luz in El Paso, TX, where she fell in love with both the birth center model of care and student-run clinics. Stephanie has been teaching at Midwives College of Utah since June 2022, and continues to find joy and purpose in supporting clients to have choices in their birth process and supporting students to become midwives to their own communities.
